fucking son of a fuck
so, the good news is i got my first check from Young Blood Gallery. BUT, i couldn't cash it b/c it had 'The Orange Bicycle' and i don't have a bank account for that yet. so shit. but yay?
the bad news is...i got another mother fucking ticket on Eastland. same cop. as 2 months ago. same mother fucking reason. speeding. but he let me off with driving without proof of insurance. again. why didn't i have proof of insurance AGAIN, you ask? b/c it is still sitting on my desk from where i just went and paid my last ticket and showed them my proof of insurance. why did he let me off...AGAIN, you ask? because before he could even walk up to my window, i was sobbing like a whiny little bitch. i mean, this was the shit icing on my doo doo cupcake of a mother fucking day. i've been without real sleep for about a week, it's my special lady time-so im a little emotional, i woke up in the middle of weird/sad dreams this morning, i dropped my watermelon on the nasty-ass 'work kitchen' floor, some other shit sucks right now, and then....mr. copper mcCoppypants is standing in the road aiming his speed gun at me... i think i scared him...like...he thought i might just go batshit on his ass if he were to give me a real ticket.
and it's only lunch time.
so here i am at work again. 2:42 pm.
i need some fucking yanni and yoga. faux reals.

Mondays are hard....
...especially when it's the Music Row Ladies Golf Tournament. once a year we have to start out with 'mary's and mimosa's, eat free for all 3 meals of the day, "play golf" (which means paying the pro's at each hole to shoot for us raising money for charity), get greeted by beer trucks, screw-driver scooters, tents full of Grey Goose-spiked watermelon & fruit tea, lay by the pool--'rita's in hand, get goody bags full of free shit and win prizes....i mean it's all for charity. so...it's the only thing that really makes it worth it. i guess i'll do it for a good cause. but god damn...it was rough.

beyond the edge, part deux.
a lady on Etsy emailed me asking if I could make her a cafe curtain with pom pom fringe. pom pom fringe? what's that?
anyhow...it actually turned out great (see below), and I think I shall make one for my tiny little kitchen. and maybe more for Etsy. I love these custom orders forcing me to make things I otherwise wouldn't. I need the creative push, here lately especially.

beyond the edge
meghann made me make her a wristlet. i was cussing her at first, but then realized how easy and cute they are. i just have to figure out where to get these hooks and D rings for cheaper. anyone??
now i will make more. see if etsy likes'em. thanks for pushin' my boundaries, meg! here was the edge....and i went beyond it.

designers down under = bad ass handmade fabrics
when it comes to handmade screenprinted fabrics, the Australian's apparently have their shit together. it's all so well done. they are all very reasonably priced for handmade fabrics, but I just can't really afford them. buuutttt....i finally splurged and ordered some from pippijoe yesterday...photos to follow upon arrival.
here's just a few of the well-thought out, creatively designed fabrics from 'pippijoe', 'hollabee' and 'of paper and thread'. (click on photo to get to their etsy shop).
